The GACE is a set of state-approved educator certification tests for Georgia. The purpose of the GACE is to test the knowledge and skills needed to be an educator in the state of Georgia.
Anyone who plans on being an educator in the state of Georgia will have to pass a GACE exam. Which GACE exam you’ll need to take depends on what area of education you want to teach in. You can register for your GACE exam either online or via the phone. You can learn more about the process by visiting the ETS website.
The GACE Content Assessments have tiered scoring, meaning the exams have different passing rates for two different certification levels. You can learn more about GACE scores in this 240 article.
If you do not pass your GACE exam, you can retake the exam 30 calendar days after your last test date. All exams have a 30-day retest wait period except for the Paraprofessional Exam, which has a wait of 28 calendar days from your testing date.
