The ORELA (Oregon Educator Licensure Assessments) tests prospective teachers need to take to receive their teacher certification in Oregon and become a teacher.
Which ORELA exam you need to take depends on what teaching endorsement you want to receive. You can check the ORELA test guide to determine which test you need to take to receive each endorsement.
You can register for your ORELA exam by signing in to your ORELA account and following the steps complete your registration.
Almost every ORELA exam requires a 220 to pass the exam. The only exam that is different is Administrator Examination, which requires a 240 per subtest to pass. Always double check the ORELA website to be certain of the passing score for your exam.
If you fail your exam you must wait 30 days before you can retake the exam. To retake an exam, you need to register for the exam again and make sure to schedule the retake at least 30 days after your initial exam. You will also need to pay the fees again.
Most ORELA exams cost $95 even though they vary in length. Exams with multiple subtests may have a different price so be sure to check the ORELA website for exam pricing.
