NES Test Results and Passing Scores
NES Test Registration Information
The Washington Educator Skills Tests (WEST) are the test perspective teacher in Washington have to take in order to receive their teacher certification in Washington.
The WEST exams you will need to take depends on which subject and grade level you would like to teach. The WEST website has some great information on which exams you should take.
You can register for your WEST on the official WEST website. Just log in to your account, choose your test and test date, and pay the test fee.
The WEST are scored using a scaled score ranging from 100 to 300. The national benchmark for WEST exams is a score of 220. States that require or use WEST exams can choose their own passing score. Check with your state to find out what benchmark they use.
If you fail your exam you must wait 30 days before you can retake the exam. To retake an exam, you need to register for the exam again and make sure to schedule the retake at least 30 days after your initial exam. You will also need to pay the fees again.
Most WEST exams cost $119, but its always a good idea to check the official website for your test to confirm the cost of the exam you are taking.
