Everything you need to know about AEPA Certification Exams
The AEPA (Arizona Educator Proficiency Assessments) are the tests prospective teachers need to take to receive their teacher certification in Arizona and become a teacher.
Which AEPA exam you need to take depends on what teaching endorsement you want to receive. You can check the AEPA website to determine which test you need to take to receive each endorsement.
You can register for your AEPA exam by signing in to your AEPA account and following the steps complete your registration.
Most AEPA exams require either a 220 or a 240 to pass the exam. Always double check the exam’s information page on the AEPA website to be certain of the passing score for your exam.
If you fail your exam you must wait 30 days before you can retake the exam. To retake an exam, you need to register for the exam again and make sure to schedule the retake at least 30 days after your initial exam. You will also need to pay the fees again.
AEPA exam cost range from $75 to $145, however most exams are $119. Exams with multiple subtests may have a different price so be sure to check the AEPA website for exam pricing.
