To take the NES Assessment of Professional Knowledge: Elementary (051) exam, you must present an original, government-issued, valid (non-expired) identification that has your photograph, full name, and signature. Make sure to bring the ID with you on the day of the test to the testing center. For most test-takers, a valid driver’s license or United States Passport is a valid ID.

To pass the NES Assessment of Professional Knowledge: Elementary (051) exam, you must first understand what is on the exam and what you will be expected to know. Once you identify areas of weakness, you can begin targeting those areas with instructional content and practice questions.
The full test takes 3 hours and 15 minutes, but expect to be at the testing site longer. Plan to arrive at least 30 minutes before your appointment time to get checked in.
A scaled scored is given immediately after the exam, however a score reports will be received within two weeks after the exam.
