The TExES Special Education EC-12 (161) exam consists of 150 selected-response questions. This exam is divided into 4 concepts:

Number of Attempts

You have 5 attempts at the exam in order to pass. You are required to wait 30 days between test attempts. If you are not able to pass the exam after 5 attempts, you must apply and receive a TEA test-limit waiver before being allowed to retake the exam again.
