Are you getting ready to take your Praxis® exam? If so, you most likely have a lot of questions. You might be wondering how much it costs to take an exam. What happens if you fail? How many attempts to pass do you get?

How Much Does It Cost To Take a Praxis® Exam?

Before you register to take your Praxis® exam, you’ll want to make sure you’re prepared for how much it’ll cost you. The cost varies depending on which exam you will be taking.

How Many Attempts Do You Get To Pass a Praxis® Test?

Worried about not being able to pass the Praxis® test?

Good news! You can retake an exam as many times as needed. There is a wait time, though: you need to wait 28 days after your test scores are released before you can retake the Praxis®.

What Happens If You Fail a Praxis® Test?

No one is preparing to fail their Praxis® test, but if you do fail, we’re here to help you!

If you receive a failing test score, you can retake your exam. Use the 28-day waiting period to work with a comprehensive Praxis® study guide to pass your exam. Here is more information on how to best prepare for your Praxis® exam.

Once you have reviewed all of the study materials and passed a practice test, register for your Praxis® exam again!

Are There Any Other Costs Associated With Taking a Praxis® Test?

So, are there any other costs you need to be aware of when taking your Praxis® exam? We’ll go over a couple of important ones.

If you need to change your test center or testing date, there is a $40 change fee.

To register by phone there is a $35 fee.

In Nevada there is an additional $5 fee per test for all exams except for the Praxis® Core.

If you need additional score reports, they cost $50 per report.

If you would like your scores reviewed, there is a $65 fee.

If you think you might qualify for a fee waiver you can find more information about it on the ETS website.
