The result of the test will be pass or fail. At the end of the test, an unofficial pass or non-pass note will be provided. The test has a scaled score that assigns different weights to each question based on the difficulty level. About 71% of the questions must be answered correctly and a scaled score of 200 achieved to pass.

How do I pass the FTCE Reading K-12 test?

To pass the FTCE Reading K-12 test, you must first understand what is on the exam and what you will be expected to know. The best way is to review the 240Tutoring test breakdown materials and practice questions. Once you identify areas of weakness, you can begin targeting those areas with instructional content and practice questions.

Do I get a break during the FTCE Reading K-12 test?

You will not receive a scheduled break during the Reading K-12 exam, but have the ability to take an unscheduled break if needed. Any time taken for breaks is considered part of your available testing time.

What can I expect when I arrive at the testing site to take the Reading K-12 test?

When you get to the testing site, expect to have your identification checked, your photo taken, your palm scanned, your eyeglasses checked, and to place your belongings in a secure storage space. You will be given an erasable notepad and pen. Before starting the test, you’ll have to complete a short tutorial and sign an agreement.

How long will the FTCE Reading K-12 test take me?

The full test itself is 2 hours, and 30 minutes, but expect to be at the testing site longer. It takes time to get checked in and get started. Plan to arrive at least 30 minutes before your appointment time.

Is the FTCE Reading Endorsement test hard?

Yea, it’s challenging. According to the FTCE FELE 2019 Annual Administration and Technical Report, in 2019 54% of test takers passed the FTCE Reading K-12 exam.
