How many questions are on the PPR?
This is a computer-administered test with 100 selected-response questions divided among four domains.

What kinds of questions are on the PPR?
Selected-response questions are written to test skills across each of the TExES PPR’s four domains and thirteen competencies. Most questions will ask you to choose the correct answer from a list of options. However, other question types may include the following:
- selecting all that apply
- typing into an entry box
- checking boxes
- interacting with an illustration or chart
- dragging and dropping elements on the screen
- selecting from a drop-down menu
Questions may ask you to recall facts, think critically, analyze data, and make educated judgments. In single questions, each prompt refers to only one set of answer choices. In clustered questions, several questions refer to the same stimulus material. Remember, points are awarded for correct answers but not deducted for incorrect answers, so it is better to answer all questions than to leave blanks.
Are there any essay questions on the PPR?
No, the TExES PPR includes only selected-response questions.

The best resources to study for the TExES PPR include information about the test, study guides, and practice problems. Learning about how to register, how the test is structured, and how to read a score report, are important first steps to succeeding on the TExES PPR. Study guides are targeted reviews of the material that outline all the important information that could appear on the test. Practice problems should be written specifically for the TExES PPR to ensure that the question format and content is most similar to the real exam.
