How many questions are on the MEGA?

How many questions are on the MEGA

The number of questions on your exam will depend on which MEGA test you are taking. Check out your test below to find out how many questions you’ll be answering on your exam.

MEGA Paraprofessional Test

The MEGA Paraprofessional test has 90 questions.

MEP

The Missouri Educator Profile, or MEP, has 192 survey questions.

MoGEA

The Missouri General Education Assessment, or MoGEA, includes four different subtests: Reading Comprehension and Interpretation, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies, and Writing. The subtests can be taken together or separately. The Reading Comprehension and Interpretation subtest has 39 questions. The Mathematics subtest has 40 questions. The Science and Social Studies subtest has 40 questions, and the Writing subtest has one written assignment.

The Science and Social Studies subtest (069) is no longer a testing requirement for educator preparation program admission, so you must only pass the other three subtests to pass the MoGEA.

Missouri Content Assessments

The Missouri Content Assessments are subject-specific tests, and the number of questions varies from test to test.

Most of the Missouri Content Assessments have either 80 or 100 questions, with a few exceptions: the World Languages Content Assessments (Chinese –– Mandarin, French, German, and Spanish) also include a written question and a speaking question, along with multiple-choice questions. The Superintendent Content Assessment includes two written assignments along with 80 multiple-choice questions. The Elementary Education Multi-Content test is made up of four subtests with 40 questions each.

To find the exact number of questions your Missouri Content Assessment will have, visit the Missouri Educator Gateway Assessments test list and click on the exam you plan to take.

What kinds of questions are on the MEGA?

Most MEGA exams include only multiple-choice questions. Some exams also include one or two written assignments, and the World Languages Content Assessments each include a speaking question. Find your test below to see exactly what type of questions you can expect to see on your exam.

MEGA Paraprofessional Test

The paraprofessional test has multiple-choice questions only.

MEP

The Missouri Educator Profile (MEP) is different from the other MEGA exams. It includes 192 survey-style questions that can be taken at any time on the internet. These questions are used to assess your personal work and teaching styles. The questions on the MEP do not have right or wrong answers, and the MEP is not a test that you pass or fail.

MoGEA

The Missouri General Education Assessment, or MoGEA, includes four different subtests: Reading Comprehension and Interpretation, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies, and Writing. The subtests can be taken together or separately. The first three subtests have only multiple-choice questions. The Writing subtest is made up of one essay question. The Writing subtest does not have any multiple-choice questions.

If you register for all four subtests, you may skip the Science and Social Studies subtest by going to the first question, then clicking on “Test Review” in the bottom right corner of the screen. Then go to the last question and click “Next” to end the subtest.
